Frames Made Just For You
Your glasses should be fit and adjusted by a trained optician. At Eye Rx, you’ll work closely with our team of certified opticians and doctors whose goal is to give you clear, quality vision. See below for a list of all the factors that go into designing the perfect frame for you
The Right Fit Checklist:
- Frame: When selecting your perfect frame, you may notice our optician will help you choose one that is slightly wider than your face. You should be able to fit no more than a finger-width of space between the arms and your temple. Frames with the right fit won’t rest on your cheeks or touch your brows.
- Bridge or nosepiece: The bridge or nose piece should fit securely and comfortably, keeping your glasses stable. We can always make adjustments to the nosepiece so that your glasses rest comfortably.
- Temples: The arms of your glasses should reach your ears before they start to curve to fit securely and comfortably.
- Pupil position: Your pupils should be in line with the center of your lenses to give you the best vision. This measurement is especially important for patients with astigmatism, progressive glasses or bifocals.

Understanding Your Perfect Prescription
“Which Is Better, Image 1 or Image 2?”
A lot of patients become uncomfortable and feel they have to force the “right” answer during this particular eye vision test, but we are here to let you know: it’s OK to say that you don’t see a difference! Your doctor is testing for refraction, which will help determine a crisp, clear prescription.
Our vision specialist will individually test each eye using a device called a phoropter, which contains a series of dials to switch the lenses to find the best power for you.
Your New Frames Will Fit You Perfectly
We know from experience: if your glasses pinch your nose, hurt your ears or fall off when you move, you won’t wear them – and that doesn’t just apply to children, but adults too!
